United States Senate Introduces Bill on AI Job Loss Reporting

On November 5, 2025, the U.S. Senate introduced a bipartisan bill titled the AI-Related Job Impacts Clarity Act. The bill is co-sponsored by Senator Mark Warner (D-VA) and Senator Josh Hawley (R-MO), making it a truly bipartisan effort—uniting perspectives from both major political parties.

This legislation targets larger companies and federal agencies, requiring them to report to the U.S. Department of Labor any workforce reductions or significant job restructuring events that occur substantially due to the adoption of artificial intelligence systems.

These reports must include details on layoffs, displaced positions, new AI-related hiring, and retraining efforts. The intention is to bring greater transparency to how AI is impacting the labor market on a systemic level.

While the bill specifically refers to “major companies,” the exact threshold defining size or revenue scope has not yet been clearly outlined in the publicly available summaries of the bill. As such, businesses should monitor ongoing developments for clarity on whether they may be included under the definition of “covered entities.”

Other AI-Related Legislation

In addition to the AI-Related Job Impacts Clarity Act, several other legislative efforts are advancing across the United States. Federally, the proposed AI Risk Management Act seeks to require federal agencies to follow NIST’s standardized AI risk frameworks.

At the state level, Colorado has passed its own comprehensive Colorado AI Act, focused on regulating the use of high-risk AI systems.

Additionally, a Generative AI Copyright Disclosure Act has been proposed, aiming to require AI developers to disclose any copyrighted materials used in AI model training. These efforts reflect a growing patchwork of AI governance across both federal and state levels.

Alphabet Inc. (Google’s parent company) has announced that its AI platform continues to grow at a historic pace. Its flagship chatbot, Gemini, now serves over 650 million monthly active users, according to CEO Sundar Pichai’s Q3 2025 update (Google Press Release Blog). This milestone came as the company reported its first-ever $100 billion quarter in revenue — a clear sign that AI is driving real business value.

Gemini: The Core of Google’s AI Platform

Gemini is more than a chatbot — it anchors a broader AI platform that includes video generation via Veo, creative content tools, and productivity integrations with Gmail, Docs, and other Workspace apps. While Google hasn’t specifically credited Veo with Gemini’s growth, the company shared that its AI models now process over 7 billion tokens per minute via API calls (Google Press Release Blog).

For business users, this means seamless AI embedded in everyday workflows — from writing and editing to content generation and automation — all in one platform.

How This Translates to Real-World Impact

Google’s recent financial success is directly tied to its AI strategy. According to Alphabet’s Q3 2025 earnings release, Google Cloud revenue and Gemini-related API usage were major contributors to the record-breaking quarter (Q3 2025 Earnings PDF).

With tools like Veo enabling branded video creation from simple prompts — and Gemini powering Google Workspace — AI is no longer a novelty. It’s becoming a daily business asset. This integration of AI into everyday workflows has created a significant impact for business users. With the ability to generate content, automate tasks, and improve efficiency all in one platform, companies are seeing real-world benefits.

One of the main drivers behind Google’s success is their strategic use of AI. This was evident in Alphabet’s Q3 2025 earnings release, where they reported a record-breaking quarter thanks to Google Cloud revenue and API usage through Gemini.

Moreover, with tools like Veo that allow for easy video creation and Gemini powering Google Workspace, AI is no longer just a novelty but a valuable asset for businesses on a daily basis. This integration has not only improved workflow processes but also increased productivity and competitiveness in the market.

Is the AI Stock Boom Cooling Off?

The AI boom is still hot — but investors are becoming more selective. While enterprise spending and cloud infrastructure remain strong (Reuters), Goldman Sachs CEO David Solomon recently warned of a possible “drawdown” in inflated AI stock valuations (New York Post).

Bottom line: adoption is still rising, but hype is being replaced by scrutiny. Investors want proof of ROI — and Google seems to be delivering.

ChatGPT versus Gemini
Gemini vs. ChatGPT: AI’s Heavy Hitters

OpenAI’s ChatGPT still leads in scale. CEO Sam Altman confirmed the platform now sees over 800 million weekly active users (TechCrunch). But Gemini’s meteoric rise — going from 0 to 650 million users in months — shows Google’s momentum in this space is real.

Final Takeaway

With Gemini gaining fast, ChatGPT holding strong, and tools like Veo making AI more accessible, the competitive landscape is heating up. The winners? Platforms that don’t just impress — but deliver daily utility and financial results.

Why Open Graph Meta Tags Still Matter (Especially in the Age of AI Search)In the evolving world of digital marketing, many companies focus heavily on traditional search-engine optimization (SEO) — page titles, keywords, inbound links, site speed, mobile usability, structured data, and so on. But there’s another piece of the metadata puzzle that often sits quietly in the head of your HTML : the Open Graph Protocol (OG) meta tags. While OG tags aren’t a direct ranking signal for Google in the traditional sense, they play a crucial role in how your content is represented, shared, discovered — and increasingly, how it may be understood by AI-driven search and knowledge-graph systems.

What are Open Graph Meta Tags?

The Open Graph Protocol was introduced by Facebook, Inc. in 2010 to allow any web page to become a “rich object” in the social graph — i.e., when someone pastes a URL into Facebook (or Slack, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, etc.), the preview that appears can be controlled rather than left to chance.

In practical terms, you place tags inside the <head> section of your HTML like:

<meta property="og:title" content="Your Page Title Here" />
<meta property="og:description" content="Brief description that entices a click." />
<meta property="og:image" content="https://example.com/image-share.jpg" />
<meta property="og:url" content="https://example.com/your-page" />
<meta property="og:type" content="article" />

Plugins such as Yoast SEO and Rank Math make this easier for WordPress sites.

Why They Matter for Social & Click-Through Rates

  • Control over how your content appears when shared: Without OG tags, platforms may pick a random image, title, or description — often resulting in a sub-optimal social preview.
  • Improved visual appeal / higher click-through: Posts with good imagery and tailored titles/descriptions perform better in social feeds.
  • Enhanced brand consistency: Predictable thumbnails, titles and copy reinforce your brand identity and trust.
  • Increased chance of shares & backlinks: Better previews create more engagement, traffic, and potential backlinks.

How OG Tags Fit Into Search & AI-Driven Discovery

While Google says it doesn’t rely on OG tags to determine ranking, they may use them as fallback data for link previews in shared contexts. More importantly, the web is moving toward semantic search — where search engines and AI agents understand the meaning of content and relationships between entities. In these systems, metadata of all types becomes more important because it helps machines understand context, relationships and intent. The OG protocol is part of that larger “metadata ecosystem” (alongside Schema.org, JSON-LD, RDFa, etc.). Even if OG itself isn’t deeply used for ranking, accurate metadata helps maintain consistency and clarity — supporting discoverability in a world dominated by AI and knowledge graphs.

Practical Checklist for Adver Group Clients & Web Builders

  1. Ensure every shareable page has OG tags: at minimum og:title, og:description, og:image, og:url, and og:type.
  2. Match the URL to the canonical URL in og:url to prevent duplicate content in social shares.
  3. Optimize the og:image: Use a high-quality image (1200×628 px or larger, under 5 MB) and ensure it’s HTTPS accessible.
  4. Tailor og:title and og:description for share appeal. Keep the title around 40-60 characters.
  5. Test your links on major platforms (Facebook Debugger, LinkedIn Inspector, Twitter Validator).
  6. For JavaScript-driven sites, serve OG tags in static HTML <head> or use prerendering.
  7. Integrate OG with Schema.org/JSON-LD for complete structured-data strategy.

Why This Matters for Your Clients & Adver Group’s Brand

For local service pages, OG tags ensure your shared links reflect your brand and drive higher click-through. For product-catalog sites, they maintain consistent imagery and titles. As AI search engines become more entity-aware, having clean metadata provides an advantage in voice search, “zero-click” results, and knowledge-graph inclusion. OG tag discipline complements Adver Group’s ongoing focus on metadata hygiene and structured SEO.

Final Thoughts & Recommendations

While it may be tempting to deprioritize Open Graph tags, as search and discovery systems become more complex — with AI assistants, knowledge panels, and entity networks — anything you do to improve how your content is interpreted, displayed, and shared pays dividends.

  • Audit key landing and product pages for correct OG tag implementation.
  • Define standard naming and image-quality guidelines for OG thumbnails (e.g., 1200×628 px, branded image, consistent file names).
  • Include OG fields in your CMS workflow along with title, meta description, and alt text.
  • Validate social share previews before launch.
  • Educate clients: compelling link previews increase brand reach, backlinks, and visibility in AI and semantic systems.

At Adver Group, we believe metadata should never be an after-thought. The next frontier of search isn’t just “rank on page one” — it’s about being found, understood, and shared across social, search-assistants, and knowledge-driven discovery systems. The Open Graph protocol may have started as a social-sharing tool — but it has evolved into a foundational piece of a complete SEO and AI-search strategy.

Top Local SEO Consultant in Chicago and Oak Brook explains why advertising on Google Local Service Ads is essential for service-based businesses. Boost local visibility, earn the Google Guaranteed badge, and attract qualified leads with expert setup and management.

When it comes to attracting new local customers, few tools are as powerful as Google Local Service Ads (LSAs). These premium ad placements appear at the very top of Google search results — above both standard pay-per-click listings and map results — giving verified local service providers unmatched visibility and credibility.

AdverGroup, a trusted Local SEO and Web Design Company serving Chicago, Oak Brook and nearby. We help businesses configure, verify, and manage Google Local Service Ads for maximum lead generation. Our team ensures your profile, service areas, and ad budget are all optimized to connect you directly with ready-to-book local customers.

What Makes Google Local Service Ads So Effective?

Unlike standard Google Ads where you pay per click, LSAs operate on a pay-per-lead model. You only pay when a potential customer calls or messages your business directly through your ad. This ensures that your marketing dollars are going toward real, actionable leads — not just website traffic.

Because LSAs are tied to your verified Google Business Profile, your business also earns a Google Guaranteed or Google Screened badge once you pass background and license checks. These badges build instant trust with customers and can dramatically improve response rates.

Top Local SEO Consultant in Chicago and Oak Brook explains why advertising on Google Local Service Ads is essential for service-based businesses. Boost local visibility, earn the Google Guaranteed badge, and attract qualified leads with expert setup and management.Benefits of Running Google Local Service Ads

  • Top placement: LSAs appear above all other ad types and organic listings.
  • Pay for results, not clicks: You only pay when a customer contacts you.
  • Trust & credibility: The “Google Guaranteed” badge increases confidence and conversions.
  • Easy lead management: Calls and messages are tracked right in your Local Services dashboard.
  • Smart local targeting: Ads are shown only to people searching within your defined service area.

Industries Eligible for Google Local Service Ads

While LSAs continue to expand, eligibility is still limited to specific professional and home-service categories. As of 2025, approved industries in the United States include:

Home Services

  • Plumbing, HVAC, and Electrical
  • Roofing and Gutter Installation
  • Appliance Repair
  • Locksmiths and Garage Door Services
  • Lawn Care, Tree Service, and Pest Control
  • Moving, Cleaning, and Junk Removal

Professional Services

  • Lawyers (family, criminal, immigration, real estate, etc.)
  • Financial Advisors and Tax Preparers
  • Real Estate Agents and Property Managers
  • Insurance Agents
  • Tutors and Child Care Professionals
  • Therapists and Wellness Providers

Automotive & Wellness Categories

  • Auto Glass, Repair, and Towing Services
  • Beauty, Spa, and Massage Services in Select Regions

Google continues to add new categories as the program evolves. However, industries such as web design, marketing, photography, and other creative services are not yet eligible for LSAs — though these businesses can still run traditional Google Search and Display Ads to target local clients.

Why You Should Prepare Now

Even if your business category isn’t yet eligible, it’s smart to build a strong Google Business Profile and collect verified reviews now. That way, when LSAs open up to more industries, your company will already have the online trust signals needed for approval.

For service businesses in approved categories, LSAs are one of the most cost-effective ways to dominate local search results, increase brand credibility, and convert local leads into paying customers — all while paying only for real inquiries.

AI Search Optimization: The Power of Schema Mark Ups for Your Local Business

The AI Connection: How Schema Markup Influences AI-Driven Search

The evolution of search isn’t just about keywords and links—it’s increasingly about artificial intelligence and machine learning models that are designed to understand and interpret content with human-like comprehension. This is where schema markup becomes even more powerful.

AI systems don’t just read your website; they process structured data to build a comprehensive understanding of your business and its place in the world. When you use Local Business Schema, you are providing a clean, organized data set that these AI models can easily consume.

This allows the AI to:

  • Accurately Identify Your Business: The structured data ensures the AI correctly identifies your business name, location, and services without having to infer the information from unstructured text.
  • Determine Context and Relevance: AI models use this information to determine the most relevant and authoritative businesses for a given user query, especially for complex or conversational searches.
  • Enhance Recommendation Systems: Beyond standard search, this structured data feeds into AI-powered recommendation engines, which might suggest your business to users based on their location and historical search behavior.

In short, by providing structured data, you are not just optimizing for today’s search engines; you are future-proofing your online presence for tomorrow’s AI-driven search landscape.

The Blueprint to Ranking: Why Local Business Schema is a Must-Have for Your Service Business

SEO: The Power of Schema Mark Ups for Your Local BusinessIn a competitive digital landscape, showing up for local searches is no longer a luxury—it’s a necessity. For service-based businesses, connecting with customers in their specific geographic area is the key to growth. While many factors contribute to a strong local SEO presence, one of the most powerful and often underutilized tools is Local Business Schema Markup.

What is Local Business Schema Markup?

Schema markup is a form of structured data, or code, that you add to your website to help search engines like Google better understand the content on your page. Think of it as a translator for search engine bots. It takes the information on your website—such as your business name, address, phone number, operating hours, and service areas—and presents it in a standardized format that is easily readable and interpretable by search engines.

For service businesses, this is particularly critical. Your business may not have a physical storefront or a “brick-and-mortar” location, but you still provide services within a defined local area. Local Business Schema allows you to explicitly tell search engines what your business is, what services you offer, and where you offer them.

Why is it So Important for Service-Based Businesses?

Properly implemented Local Business Schema Markup provides several key advantages that directly impact your online visibility and lead generation:

  • Boosts Visibility in Local Search Results: By clearly outlining your business information, schema markup increases your chances of appearing in prominent search features, such as the Google “Local Pack” or “Map Pack.” This prime real estate on the search results page puts your business directly in front of potential customers who are actively searching for your services in your area.
  • Enables Rich Snippets: Structured data can lead to “rich snippets,” which are enhanced search results that display additional information like star ratings, reviews, or your operating hours directly in the search results. These snippets make your listing stand out from the competition, increasing your click-through rate and attracting more qualified leads.
  • Prepares for Voice Search: The rise of voice assistants like Siri and Google Assistant means that more people are using natural language queries to find local services. Schema markup helps your website content match these queries, making it easier for voice assistants to extract and provide accurate information about your business.
  • Builds Trust and Authority: When your business details are consistently and accurately presented across the web, it signals to search engines that you are a legitimate and trustworthy entity. This helps build a stronger “knowledge graph” around your brand, further solidifying your authority in your industry.
  • Defines Your Service Area: Unlike a business with a physical address, a service-based business can use schema markup to specify its areaServed. This is a crucial element that tells search engines exactly where you provide your services, ensuring you are matched with relevant customers in your target locations.

Let AdverGroup Assist You

While the concept of Local Business Schema Markup is clear, the technical implementation can be complex. Properly coding your website to ensure it is error-free and aligns with the latest search engine guidelines is critical for achieving the full SEO benefit.

At AdverGroup, we specialize in implementing and optimizing Local Business Schema Markup for service-based businesses. Let us help you navigate the complexities of structured data to ensure your business is accurately represented to both search engines and the AI models that are shaping the future of search.

How to Get Your Local Business Recommended by Ai: ChatGPT, Gemini and CopilotAs AI tools like ChatGPT, Bing Copilot, and Google Gemini become more integrated into how people search for services, we’re entering a new era of digital visibility. More and more, users are asking ChatGPT for local recommendations — and clicking the links it provides.

At AdverGroup, we’ve noticed a growing number of client websites receiving traffic directly from ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot labeled as a referral source in their analytics. This opens up a powerful new opportunity for local businesses to earn visibility beyond traditional search engines.

So, how do you get your business (or your clients’ businesses) recommended by ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot when someone searches for a local service in places like Chicago and the North Suburbs?

Here’s how to optimize for this new wave of AI search.

 1. Use LocalBusiness Schema Markup

AI tools rely on structured data to understand and categorize websites. By using schema.org LocalBusiness markup, you’re helping ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot understand:

  • What your business does
  • Where it operates
  • When it’s open
  • How it’s reviewed

Add specific subtypes like HVACBusinessElectrician, or Plumber depending on the industry.

 2. Optimize for Location-Based Search Intents

Make sure your website:

  • Clearly lists your service areas (e.g., “Serving Chicago, Glenview, Northbrook, and surrounding suburbs”).
  • Has individual service pages for each suburb or neighborhood you serve.
  • Uses keywords naturally in headings and body content (e.g., “Emergency Electrician in Wilmette”).

 3. Create Content That Answers Local Questions

ChatGPT often pulls answers from websites that:

  • Provide clear, useful responses to user questions.
  • Include FAQs, blog posts, or guides about local topics.

Examples:

  • “How much does a plumber cost in Evanston?”
  • “What to do during a power outage in Northbrook?”
  • “Top-rated HVAC companies in the Chicago suburbs”

Answer these in natural language so that ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot can reference or quote your site directly.

 4. Get Listed in Trusted Third-Party Sources

AI systems tend to trust websites that are cited elsewhere. Make sure your business is listed and reviewed on:

  • Google Business Profile
  • Yelp and Angi
  • BBB
  • Local news publications
  • “Best of” or community resource lists

A strong presence here increases the chance that AI assistants will recommend your business.

 5. Track and Monitor AI Traffic

In Google Analytics 4, watch for referral traffic from:

referrer: ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot

Also use UTM tags if you’re experimenting with direct ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot prompts or embedded AI experiences.

Try asking ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot questions like:

  • “Who is the best web design company in Arlington Heights?”
  • “Recommend a plumber near Glenview.”

See who gets mentioned — and why.

Bonus: Build Your Own AI Assistant

At AdverGroup, we can help you integrate AI directly into your site using ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot API or custom GPTs tailored to your services. This can:

  • Enhance user engagement
  • Keep visitors on your site longer
  • Guide users toward conversions

Final Thoughts

ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot are no longer just a novelties — they are powerful referral channels that local businesses can and should optimize for. With the right structure, content, and third-party signals, your business can become a trusted answer when users ask AI tools for local recommendations.
